CEO

Mark Hourigan’s deep expertise in commercial real estate and construction has been built over a career spanning more than 30 years. His big-picture vision, coupled with a keen eye for detail, allows him to consistently focus on the drivers of success. A champion for innovation and an advocate for collaboration, Mark’s disciplined approach to continuous improvement has earned him an enviable reputation.

From Fortune 500 companies and on-the-rise small businesses to local and regional nonprofits, Mark is a highly sought voice at the table, and his leadership extends beyond the profession into the community. He serves on numerous boards and is actively involved with the Virginia Tech School of Building Construction, where he is committed to growing the next generation of leaders for the industry.

Mark Greenwalt

Principal

Mark Greenwalt applies more than 40 years of dynamic industry experience to yield construction solutions for a broad spectrum of owners, architects, and investors. Using his analytical agility and Powers of 10 thinking, Mark is widely regarded as the “go-to” resource for projects ranging from education, scientific research, and classified facilities to formal gardens.

Throughout his career, Mark has helped leaders from Fortune 500 companies and regional firms to emerging businesses and local boards think through the possibilities of the “WHAT IFs” in the built environment and how to maximize the value of their capital investments. Highly respected for his exacting attention to detail and expansive knowledge of construction means, methods, and material cost information, Mark has produced an impressive record of results for his clients.

Sydney Covey

Sustainability Solutions Manager

Sydney consults with STRUCTR’s clients on their sustainable building goals and applies her deep knowledge of LEED and sustainable design to provide fresh solutions to meet or exceed them. She began her career as a Sustainability Analyst with Hourigan Group, where she was involved in the Brock Environmental Center, a LEED platinum-certified facility and one of the most sustainable buildings in the world. Another signature project in her portfolio is Virginia Wesleyan University’s (VWU) Greer Environmental Science Center, which incorporates sustainable design features such as a geothermal ground-source heat exchange and photo-voltaic panels.

A passionate advocate for environmentally friendly living, Sydney is a leader within Virginia’s sustainability community. She serves as Chair of the U.S. Green Building Council Virginia’s Hampton Roads Planning Board and Vice Chair of the U.S. Green Building Council Virginia’s Market Leadership Advisors Board. She also holds positions on the Lynnhaven River NOW’s Program Partners Committee and on the Hampton Roads Corporate Volunteer Council.

Sydney has also served on a number of panels concerned with resilient infrastructure and participated in VWU’s Community Resilience Building Workshop. Her work with Wetlands Watch and their Collaboratory focuses on developing practical approaches to adapting to the impact of sea-level rise on tidal localities in Virginia.

Kyle Jacocks

Virtual Construction Manager

Kyle’s extensive experience with BIM technology in design and construction, combined with a passion for innovation, allows him to provide clients with solutions that challenge the status quo. A natural problem-solver with an unwavering attention to detail, Kyle approaches each project with a goal of understanding the complete picture, setting the stage for better outcomes and exceptional client experiences.

In his role as a Virtual Construction Manager, Kyle is driven to facilitate creativity and success for design, construction, and facility management clients across a broad range of market sectors. By strategically introducing BIM/VDC technologies into each client’s unique mix of people and processes, Kyle aims to deliver digital solutions that leave a positive impact on the built environment.

Caleb Goins

Virtual Construction Manager

Caleb brings almost a decade of CAD and BIM experience to his role as Virtual Construction Manager. Having worked with a variety of clients and project types, he leverages his breadth of experience to think outside of the box and offer creative solutions that drive innovation throughout the construction process. Caleb’s love for technology in the construction industry led him to obtain his FAA-certified drone pilot license, which allows him to leverage UAS technology for an array of project services.

By offering a unique lens to view and assess progress, Caleb helps clients understand their project on a deeper level. His ability to simplify complex problems through cutting-edge solutions makes him an asset to project teams spanning multiple industries. Caleb’s favorite part of his work is building long-lasting relationships and being able to provide clients with an excellent experience.
